Zoom Teeth Whitening

Zoom Teeth Whitening

Zoom teeth is the name of the procedure that is done in the office. A gel and a special blue light will be used directly on your teeth. The light activates the gel and brightens each tooth so that your smile will be dazzling. From start to finish, the entire process will be about 1 ½ hours long and you will be on your way to smiling at everyone you see.

Uses

Just like any other whitening procedure, it is used to brighten and whiten a smile because teeth need to have stains lifted. The teeth will be whitened immediately and last a longer time then the at home kits that you buy at the store.

Who

People who need to see immediate results will want to speak with their dentist to see if this procedure is right for them. Maybe they will be accepting an award or their daughter is getting married, whatever reason they need a bright white smile, this will achieve that look.

Procedure

As stated above, this procedure will take around 1 ½ hours. No discomfort is experienced so bring a book or music and enjoy this down time. The gum tissue and your lips will be covered so you won't have to worry about that. The gel is then put onto the teeth and a special light is shone on 15 minutes directly on the gel to activate it. Then the gel is removed and the entire process is repeated up to three more times for maximum results.

After

Some have been known to have sensitivity after the whitening procedure, but it is very minor. The results achieved will wow you and everyone you smile at as soon as you leave the office. No waiting to see results.

What to Expect

Sensitivity has been reported by patients but never lasts longer than a week. Extra strength fluoride toothpaste can decrease the sensitivity you might be feeling. The best part? This can be permanent if you follow the instructions and do touch-ups with the kit provided to you.

The dentist at For Smiles will let you know that the teeth need to be thoroughly cleaned prior to this treatment. Teeth that still have plaque on them are not going to take to the bleaching process as well and you could end up with blotchy teeth. We will describe the entire procedure to you before you come for your visit with us.
